Thermac has set-up a dedicated research and development division to further enhance its product innovation and stay at the forefront of the asbestos removal and demolition industry.
The new R&D division is headed up by Alex Watts, Commercial Manager, who has been a part of the Lexia Solutions Group for nearly four years.
“We’re working ever closer with our customers to understand their evolving requirements whilst ensuring we use the very latest materials and technologies in the design phase of our products,” said Alex. “This approach has already provided invaluable insight that has enabled us to develop the new SiteCAM™, the ‘Blast & Breathe’ Combined Unit and the Self-contained Welfare and Decontamination Unit – all of which have been great successes.
“I’m working on a series of exciting products, some of which are undergoing testing before being released to the wider market. The R&D division is investing in innovative projects and working with suppliers to continually push emerging technologies to suit the requirements of our customers. We’re also researching a series of advanced products and techniques used elsewhere in the world and assessing whether they can be adapted to fit the UK market,” added Alex.
Thermac is investing heavily to boost the infrastructure of the business in order to meet the needs of its customers. In addition to research and development, Thermac is increasing the scale of its servicing division and has recently opened a new servicing and testing centre in Warrington.
