COATINGS REMOVAL UNIT 

 

Thermac Hire, one of the UK’s leading specialist suppliers of equipment consumables and services to the asbestos removal industry, has developed a first of its kind – a hygiene and materials van designed specifically for short-term textured coating removal, jobs where speed is of the essence.

Following the new Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, introduced in November 2006, asbestos removal equipment companies are now required to be more flexible with the design of their shower / decontamination units. As a result, Thermac has developed a specialist unit which combines a van and shower unit into one vehicle.

Neil Greenbank, managing director of Thermac, said: “The launch of this new unit will enable textured coating removal teams to travel to jobs quickly and efficiently. The normal van and decontamination unit that are usually used, require a much more technical set up which means jobs can take a lot longer from start to finish.
