Decontamination & Welfare Units to Hire

Thermac supply a range of fully self-contained decontamination trailers and asbestos decontamination / welfare units for hire. They are for use by contractors who are required to provide temporary site Hygiene, Decontamination and Welfare facilities for their personnel onsite.

In addition to the trailers, we can provide a range of Modular Decontamination Units, where space constraints prohibit the use of mobile Decontamination Units. All of our asbestos decontamination units are for hire. Contact us if you’d like information on purchasing a decontamination unit.

Thermac has multiple decontamination units for hire. These include:

Fully electric, self contained welfare units
Twin shower units
Single shower units
Modular decontamination units
Decontamination welfare units

A decontamination unit is a simple unit divided into 'clean' and 'dirty' sections, ensuring that each time an operative passes through the unit, they must shower and change to minimise contamination risk. A decontamination welfare unit features a decontamination area, as well as a canteen room, and a toilet.

The self-contained decontamination units are equipped with features such as water tanks, showers, sinks, specialised filtration systems, chemical dispensers, waste storage, and ventilation systems.

Thermac decontamination units are available for both hire and purchase.

Choosing between modular and mobile decontamination units would depend on your situation. Modular units are regularly requested for use in confined spaces such as basements, lofts and small rooms. Using modular units will often reduce the size of the transit route between the area being treated and the decontamination unit.

Thermac prepares the decontamination unit prior to hire-out, and provides specific instructions and training to ensure operatives are familiar with the features of the unit.
